NASA just landed a rover on Mars, this is the very first picture. This JUST happened minutes ago.

THE SUN IS SO SMALL AND THE MARS IS SO MARTIAN
Are people DELIBERATELY misleading or is it just a legitimate mistake?
This picture is NOT from curiosity; it was taken in 2005 by the Mars Rover Spirit. I knew as soon as I saw this image, I had already seen it somewhere else. You can see this image on NASA’s website in the link along with others from the same series.
Curiosity’s current images look like this;

The original image is spectacular and beautiful, but it has NOTHING to do with the current Mars rover. If it was an honest mistake okay; but don’t make factual statements that are blatantly falsifying information when you didn’t actually take the time to find out if what you were saying was true in the first place. You can’t just pill information out of your ass ad expect no one to notice.
I’m really excited to see America excited about NASA right now, but let’s at least stick to the facts!
(for the record I am pretty sure the OP may have known this as this started circulating months ago; people are just adding incorrect tags and comments)
